Privacy
We only collect what the account, the full version and saved progress need to work. Without an account, you do not type anything in.
Who is responsible
Controller: Ippo Chess Academy. Contact: Instagram @ippochessacademy.
What we process
The account: email address and password (stored only in encrypted form; nobody can see it).
The license: that it is paid, when, how much, and the Stripe payment identifier.
Stripe processes the payment as an independent controller. We never receive the card number.
Lesson progress (which lessons are finished, how many stars and when) is saved on your device. When you are signed in, it is also saved to your account so it is the same on all your devices. Language and settings stay only on the device.
Why, and on what basis
To run the account, unlock the full version and save your progress (performing the contract), to keep accounting records (a legal obligation) and to protect the service from abuse (legitimate interest).
Who helps us
Supabase (accounts, licenses and saved progress), Stripe (payments) and Cloudflare (hosting). Some of them may process data outside the EU; in that case EU standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework apply.
How long
The account, license and saved progress until you delete the account. Payment records for as long as accounting and tax rules require.
Cookies and tracking
We use no ads and no tracking cookies. Browser storage is used only so the app works (sign-in, progress, language).
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict processing, to data portability and to object. You can delete the account, including the license, yourself on the Account page, or write to us on Instagram @ippochessacademy.
You can complain to the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (www.uoou.cz) or to the data protection authority in your country.
